SAVANNA-LA-MAR – The Peer Counselor Training in Savanna-La-Mar commenced on Monday, under the theme, “Peers Empowered for Service”.
Students from the following four high schools: Belmont Academy, Frome Technical High, Grange Hill High and Little London High, are participants of the worshop. The first week is to welcome the presenters from various social agencies in and around the parish of Westmoreland.
Students were exposed to dance and drama, which allowed them to be fully engaged.
On Thursday, the peer counselors will embark on an outreach project at the Westmoreland Infirmary, where they will beautify the compound by planting flowers and minor painting to the rails and walls of the female ward.
