Advancement of Secondary, Tertiary, Remedial Education for Adolescent Mothers (A-STREAM)
The Advancement of Secondary, Tertiary, Remedial Education for Adolescent Mothers (A-STREAM) was launched in 2018 as the fortieth-anniversary legacy project to provide financial and psychosocial support to adolescent mothers. This programme is intent on curtailing the number of adolescent mothers at risk of dropping out of school a second time due to financial hardship.
The programme is exclusively for past students of the WCJF who were reintegrated into formal secondary school or are pursuing tertiary/vocational training.
Since 2018, 50 mentors have been paired with adolescent mothers, 155 students have been supported, and $9.7 million has been disbursed.

Facilitate the completion of secondary education
Support the psychosocial needs of reintegrated adolescent mothers
Help teen mothers build and cultivate resilience
Enable the pursuit of tertiary- level education

Mentorship
Adolescent mothers are paired with female leaders, to provide professional and personal development counsel.
Sponsorship
Adolescent mothers reintegrated into the regular school programme receive $40,000.00 bursary towards school expenses.
Scholarship
WCJF alumnae pursuing tertiary-level education are eligible for a scholarship of $140,000.00 per academic year for up to four years.
